A local company designing and manufacturing automated vision inspection equipment for use in semiconductor production line is seeking engineers for their operations.
The Mechanical Design Engineer specialises in the design of the mechanical systems for motion control and wafer handling, this includes mechanisms for wafer loading, wafer unloading, transport and alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize,
develop and design Automation/Semiconductor Equipment according to
customer’s specification requirements.
- Design
material handling systems and components for wafer probers,
including wafer loading, unloading, transport, and alignment
mechanisms.
- Develop
detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models using
CAD software.
- Conduct
feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts and
performance.
Create
detailed design specifications and documentation.
Generate
and maintain detailed bill of materials (BOM)
Prepare
fabrication drawings, assembly drawings
Participate actively in assembly, integration, installation operation and
troubleshooting of equipment.
Develop
design verification test plans and reports.
Responsible
for equipment specifications & buy off.
Produce
2D and 3D drawings, document all design work & BOM list.
Able
to keep to project schedule and resolve design issues in a timely
manner.
Work
with a cross-functional team to achieve project objectives.
Present
detailed design and supporting simulations/calculations for review
by key
Conduct
simulations to predict system behavior and validate design choices.
Develop
and implement testing protocols to evaluate system performance
Troubleshoot
and resolve issues identified during testing.
Ensure
projects run on-schedule and within budget
Hands-on
assembly and testing of prototype, including performance
characterization with precision measuring equipment
Job Requirements:
- Minimum.
Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Bachelor's or Master's are welcomed.
- Experience in Wafer Handling, Wafer Alignment, Wafer Transfer, Warped Wafer Handling & Load Port Design.
- At least 3 years experience in Automation or Semiconductor Equipment Design
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD
- Specific applicable knowledge in Deep Learning AI and, mathematical, data, statistical modelling is advantageous.
- May be required to travel overseas.
