Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing mechanical engineering projects from design and planning through to construction, commissioning, and completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
- Review project requirements, contractor specifications, and drawings in collaboration with the project team.
- Support the development of project execution plans, resource allocation, and risk management activities.
- Provide on-site support between contractors and the internal project team to ensure smooth construction progress, compliance with safety procedures, and coordination of work permits.
- Assist in resolving technical issues during construction by liaising with relevant engineers and contractors.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper integration across all project areas.
- Support variation order reviews and provide recommendations.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective project execution.
- Participate in vendor workshops, site visits, and inspections to monitor progress and highlight potential concerns.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, status updates, and technical records.
- Support project risk identification and assist in implementing mitigation measures.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in a project engineering role, preferably in mechanical engineering for EPC or chemical process plant projects.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API, TEMA), and standards (local and international).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); knowledge of MS Project, Power BI, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to travel overseas for short-term assignments if required.
