Job Description:
- Perform mechanical testing such as tensile, bend, hardness, and Charpy impact tests in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Ensure all tests are carried out accurately and in compliance with internal procedures and client requirements.
- Prepare specimens and setup testing equipment and fixtures as per the test plan.
- Record and document test data clearly and accurately.
- Monitor, track, and manage the storage and proper disposal of tested specimens.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration checks on testing equipment.
- Update maintenance and calibration records as required.
- Assist team members with testing or support tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory workspace.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant
- Experience in material testing or mechanical laboratory work is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical testing equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Willing to learn and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and independent
- Able to read and write well in English to understand the specs and update documents when necessary
- Preferred Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident candidates
