Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Aftersales, the Mechanic/Senior Mechanic/Head Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess a technical Electric Vehicle background, proven leadership abilities, and extensive hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, mechanical repairs, and servicing vehicles in an authorized dealership environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring overall operation of the garage, including safety, cleanliness and workflow efficiency.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform quality control checks before vehicle delivery
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
- Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies or recurring issues in repairs processed; implement root-cause solutions
- Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to a schedule to minimize breakdowns and maximize performance
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities and parts usage
- Adhere to established procedures and guidelines for maintenance and repairs
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements
- Certification or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic in an Authorized Dealership environment
- Certified in Electric Vehicle (EV) technology and possess a valid certification is an advantage
- Possess diagnostic and troubleshooting skills of Electric Vehicles is an advantage
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety
