Responsibilities:
- Oversee MEMS process integration throughout the lifecycle from concept to mass production, ensuring robust manufacturing capabilities.
- Translate device designs into scalable workflows, focusing on manufacturability and innovative practices.
- Drive research and development on novel materials and integration methods to enhance MEMS microphone performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop, optimize, and debug both front-end and back-end MEMS processes, balancing yield, reliability, and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with foundry teams to qualify and enhance critical process steps, including wafer bonding and lithography.
- Lead structured problem-solving initiatives to address yield and reliability concerns.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure effective process integration across various stages.
- Facilitate new material selection and conduct experimental trials in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough documentation including process flows and control plans, and assist in design reviews.
- Engage in technology roadmap discussions and contribute to early-stage prototyping efforts.
- Manage process transfers between labs and factories to support smooth new product introduction and scalable manufacturing.
- Contribute to patent generation and technical publications related to MEMS innovations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a similar discipline.
- 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in MEMS processes, semiconductor development, or microfabrication R&D.
- Familiarity with MEMS inertial sensors or similar technologies, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes.
- Experience with MEMS processing techniques including DRIE, wafer bonding, and hermetic sealing.
- Proficient in cleanroom operations, metrology tools, and analytical techniques (e.g., SEM, AFM).
- Competency in conducting design-of-experiments and data analysis (familiarity with JMP or Python is an advantage).
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration
- A proactive mindset and creativity are crucial for success in a fast-paced R&D environment.
