Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced MEP Executive (Senior QS) to join our team in Singapore.
The role will be responsible for overseeing cost estimation, tendering, procurement, contract administration, and cost control for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works within construction projects.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial efficiency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Review project drawings and specifications to develop precise cost estimates; perform quantity take-offs using relevant software and tools.
- Tendering & Procurement: Support the tender process by assessing bids, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers, and securing competitive agreements aligned with project requirements.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts, review variations and claims, and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Valuations & Payments: Evaluate completed works, prepare interim and final valuations, and review subcontractor payment claims with supporting documents.
- Change Management: Oversee scope variations, assess cost impacts, and maintain proper documentation for stakeholder communication.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor cost-related risk factors.
- Reporting: Deliver regular financial reports, highlighting key metrics, variances, and forecasts to assist decision-making.
- Final Accounts: Prepare and finalize comprehensive final accounts, including all adjustments and variations, in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within consultancy or construction firms.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Confident in presentations and adept at building professional relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
