Responsibilities:
- Design and develop technical solutions for assigned projects within defined budgets and quality standards.
- Area of expertise: metallurgical laboratories, master alloy preparation, melting, metal processing, metal treatment, mechanic properties testing.
- Lead all stages of project management, including R&D, test plans, process engineering, scale-up to production, and regulatory compliance.
- Independently plan and execute research projects, conduct / monitor experiments, and support laboratory operations.
- Prepare professional technical reports and documentation for both internal / external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and third-party service providers for experimental activities.
- Build and maintain a library of molecules and additives and lead the execution of proof-of-concept (POC) pilots and live client demonstrations.
- Manage project-related administrative tasks including expense reporting, invoice approval, and data tracking.
- Field visits to monitor research project progress.
- Supervise assistant researchers, offering guidance and resources to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Metallurgical / Materials Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of industrial R&D experience in metal/alloy treatment/processes: refining, melting, casting, and related processes.
- Expertise in R&D, Mechanic Properties Testing, alloying & scaling up research into industrial-scale applications.
- Strong technical writing skills for drafting protocols, reports, and formal communication.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Analytical thinker with innovative problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a holistic perspective.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Able to perform occasional field visits abroad to client & working with flexi-hours with global team.
