Job scopes:
- Perform all testing activities and result reviewing associated with batch release and environmental monitoring.
- Develops knowledge in area of specialization and applies basic knowledge of set of procedures and processes pertaining to own area.
- Develops elementary understanding of broader interdependencies while growing knowledge in area of specialization.
- Performance equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure smooth laboratory operation.
- Completes a variety of assignments.
- Ability to recognize if deviation from accepted practice and procedure is required.
- Uses established tools and procedures to solve task-related problems: Identifies and resolves routine and recurring problems.
- Monitors and tracks resolution of issues.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Priorities set by others and works according to pre-determined deadlines.
- Organizes and completes tasks according to assigned priorities.
- Contributes to own team/ closely related teams through accuracy of own work.
- Understands team objectives and service requirements.
- Exchanges job related information to provide routine support on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure all operations in the laboratory are carried out in a safe and productive manner, adhering to GMP/ GLP and ISO/ IEC 17025 standards at all times.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills and experience required
- Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline or Nitec with at least 1 to 3 year experience
- No prior work experience is welcome to apply as training provided.
- Working knowledge of GMP/GLP in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing, with emphasis on laboratory operations will be a plus for consideration.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000/17025 and HACCP would be advantageous.
- A high degree of computer literacy and experience with ERP, LIMS and CDS systems would be advantageous.
- Basis knowledge in laboratory instrumentation
- Practical experience in working in a fast-pace laboratory environment with tight datelines and able to solve problems in a speedy and methodical manner with good follow-up on action item
