Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Network Engineer
to join our IT infrastructure team.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow a career in IT infrastructure within a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members to coordinate and assist in setting up, maintaining, and supporting systems, environments, and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination & Support
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure timely execution of setup tasks.
Track progress and follow up on infrastructure-related activities and issues.
System Setup & Maintenance
Coordinate operating system upgrades across environments.
Support the scheduling and execution of patching activities.
Document upgrade and patching procedures.
Connectivity & Security
Coordinate the setup of Connect: Direct for secure file transfers.
Assist in SSH key generation and setup for secure access.
Ensure proper documentation of connectivity configurations.
Job Scheduling
Support the creation and monitoring of Control-M jobs.
Gather job requirements and dependencies from relevant teams.
Maintain logs and reports of job executions and failures.
Environment Setup
Help provision and configure development, testing, and production environments.
Ensure environment readiness by coordinating with stakeholders.
Document environment specifications and changes.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or currently pursuing).
Essential Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in setting up infrastructure and connectivity, preferably in a banking environment.
Basic understanding of operating systems, IT infrastructure, and networking concepts.
Familiarity with Windows systems.
Experience with Linux/Unix platforms and shell scripting.
Exposure to job scheduling tools like Control-M.
Knowledge of secure file transfer protocols (SSH, Connect: Direct).
Experience with SQL scripting, PowerShell, and batch scripting.
Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket).
Experience with databases such as MSSQL and Oracle.
Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in designing and implementing integration with MQ, microservices, and high-volume batch processing.
Familiarity with source control and release management tools.
