Roles & Responsibilities

Overview

PERTAPIS CENTRE FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS provides residential care for young women victim of abuse, coming from dysfunctional families or in conflict with the law.

The centre offers shelter, care and protection to 100 women from 14 to 21 years old.

We run a variety of programs to facilitate self development, confidence building & life skills development.

Job Description

  • Ensure that the young persons comply with the Centre's Rules and Regulations
  • Assist in ensuring the safe custody of young persons under the Centre's care
  • Guide and motivate residents to a higher level of behavioural performance and development
  • Ensure that all records, documents and correspondence are updated promptly and filed accordingly
  • Ensure that security measures are adequate in the Centre (e.g. conduct periodic round checks around the premise)
  • Representative for the Operations Staff of the Centre in matters of raising concerns and feedback
  • Oversee the implementation of the daily programmes of the Home.

  • Seeing to the needs of every resident with regards to their clothing, food, and bedding.

  • Inspect the general cleanliness / hygiene of each resident daily.

  • Allocate and supervise residents in general cleaning work.

  • Supervise and direct residents performing maintenance work in the Centre
  • Accompanying staff for resident outings
  • Assist in rendering first aid when necessary
  • Perform shift duties
  • Assist the Head in providing guidance and support to other staff
  • Support fund-raising projects in the Centre/Organization
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Home, Licensee and Governing Board

Job Requirements

  • 'N' Level / 'O' Level / Diploma
  • Able to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Pleasant personality, good interpersonal skills, matured and have genuine passion to work with young persons

Working Hours

6 days work - 3 rotating shifts (able to commit to shift work)
