- Support the Operations Manager in the control of operations, consumables, manpower and its budget
- Satisfy Primary Customers (National Environment Agency, KIT) and build up good relationship between all stakeholders
- Efficient running of the plant and satisfy NEA ISA and KIT contractual requirement Statutory/Regulatory compliance Contractor management
- Assist Operations Manager to manage and be responsible for the safe, efficient and smooth operation of the plant critical and auxiliary equipment inclusive of the boilers and steam turbine generators
- Assist in the activities of Central Control Room (CCR), Weighbridge, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant, Overhaul, reception hall, bunker management and other general plant matters
- Ensure that incidents (if any) are well-handled and properly documented with minimum disruption to operations
- Enforce plant safety procedures and achieve good safety record.
Ensure no repeated finding for iSAFE.
- Co-ordinate with Maintenance Section in matters related to plant operation and maintenance
- Support the Maintenance Manager in the control of manpower, resources, budget and projects
- Assist in matters relating to maintenance activities (both Mechanical and Electrical) inclusive of Overhaul, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Predictive Maintenance
- Be responsible for resolution of Jobcards (J/C) & Permit-to-Work (PTW) and the safety associated
- Troubleshooting of problems in the equipment and identification of solution & recommendations
- Provide support to BCP, IQC, R & D, ISO, external and internal audit and any other activities.
- Review of stock and inventory management
- Contribute to Mega plant initiative or oversea/new plant design
- Contribute to improvement and optimization projects
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor / plant management
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a process plant environment
- A keen interest in the operations and maintenance of a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant and comfortable to work in a WTE plant environment
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong safety mindset
- Can-do attitude
- Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented and has high initiative
- Willing to perform 12-hour shift work when required
- Open to working in Tuas or Senoko
- This position requires the applicant to be conversant in English, Mandarin and Cantonese in order to interact effectively with relevant stakeholders
- Must be willing to work overseas for a few years when activated
- This is a 2 years contract position.
