Onsite Technician - Data Centre Hardware
Full time, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm
The Onsite Technician is responsible for handling incoming IT hardware, performing inspections, and manage storage operations.
The role also includes testing and troubleshooting of servers and networking equipment.
We are looking for technicians with good familiarity with data centre hardware and who are comfortable managing operations independently.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and dispatch incoming IT hardware to storage areas
- Check hardware condition, perform functional testing, and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the storage management system
- Conduct regular inventory check and cycle count
- Ensure storage areas are clean and well-organised
- Assist in dismantling servers and networking equipment as per guidelines
- Support preparation of outbound orders (picking, scanning, packing)
Requirements
- Good familiarity with servers and networking hardware in data centre environment
- Experience with storage supervision or asset management is an advantage
- Basic skills in testing and troubleshooting IT hardware
- Hands-on, very detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Physically fit to handle hardware, sometimes up to 20kg
- Proficiency in Windows OS and MS office software
- Strong sense of responsibility and organisational skills
