The Role
We are looking for an
ODD Associate Analyst
to join our Operational Due Diligence team in our Singapore office.
As an Associate Analyst, you will provide support to due diligence analysts in conducting operational due diligence analysis on alternative investment funds.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret financial statements, offering documents, and other fund literature to produce research deliverables for clients within scheduled deadlines.
Liaise with fund service providers to ensure timely receipt of fund information.
Conduct reference checks with service providers to complete relevant reports.
Conduct onsite interviews with fund managers to discuss operational risks, internal controls, information systems, and verify existence of assets; prepare clear and concise written notes summarizing findings.
Ensure client deliverables are prepared, reviewed, and delivered on a timely and accurate basis.
Actively contribute ideas to client newsletters and intranet.
Participate in production of white paper research for client distribution.
Follow Albourne's “Best Practices” for operational due diligence.
Maintain current information within Albourne’s internal database.
Manage other ad hoc projects upon request.
Report potential conflicts to compliance and work with compliance to ensure conflict disclosures appear on research reports.
Requirements
University graduate or equivalent.
1‐3 years relevant prior work experience with hedge funds or private markets; exposure to operations/administration/audit/legal/compliance/technology is useful.
Proactive self‐starter, proficient at time management and multi‐tasking.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
Systems literacy (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook).
Ability to travel when required.
Compliance with the Compliance Manual and other Albourne Policies and procedures, including IFFM; compliance reporting; Information, Communications & Cyber Security Policy; Expense & Travel Policy; HFDB filing.
Regulatory registration (dependent on regional requirements).
