Overview
We are seeking an Operations Analyst to join a leading banking institution on a 12-month contract.
This role will focus on supporting collateral management and client valuation processes for Global Financial Markets, ensuring accurate margin call management, daily valuations, reconciliations, and stakeholder support across regional offices.
This role is suitable for early-career professionals who are keen to build a career in banking operations.
Mandatory Skill-set
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline;
Must have 1–3 years of experience in banking operations, collateral, or valuation management;
Must have familiarity with OTC derivative products and valuation;
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
Proficiency in MS Office applications;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skill-set
Exposure to regulatory margin processes (CSA/GMRA/GMSLA/PAD) and triparty/cleared margin calls;
Experience supporting overseas offices or regional processes;
Understanding of trade portfolio reconciliation and audit requirements;
Ability to suggest process improvements and automation opportunities.
Responsibilities
Manage bilateral, triparty, and cleared margin calls, including calculation, issuance, receipt, agreement, and settlement in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements;
Handle dispute resolution and process exceptions related to collateral management;
Provide accurate daily MTM valuations on OTC derivatives, structured products, and traded/issued bonds;
Prepare and distribute valuation reports to overseas offices and internal/external stakeholders;
Perform daily trade portfolio reconciliations and support regulatory reporting (e.g., MAS Reg40);
Assist with client digital channel onboarding and audit certification requests;
Collaborate with internal teams and overseas entities to ensure efficient and accurate operations;
Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and processes.
