Job Summary
SilverCape Investments a single-family office managing a diverse investments portfolio, including involvement in public equities with a long-short portfolio, technical trading portfolio, and an Activist/Engagement portfolio, focused on the US, China/HK, Singapore, and Japan.
As we expand our exposure and deepen our partnerships with counterparties, we are institutionalising our operational, compliance, and risk functions.
We are seeking an Operations & Risk Manager to take ownership of the middle- and back-office operations, risk oversight and regulatory coordination across our public equities trading activities.
The role will work closely with the investment team and the office manager, bringing best practices from institutional asset management while maintaining the flexibility and agility of a family office environment.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Investment Operations & Trade Lifecycle Management
Project lead
for testing including systems, various brokers connectivity, file formatting along with data feed, reports generations including portfolio positions, margin and risks, P&L, counterparties exposure, brokerage fees, initial margin allocation and encumbered cash as per trading team requirements
Set up
of trade flow diagram and implementing daily BAU process including trade matching, trade and positions reconciliations, fixings and expiries of trades, cash settlement and P&L reports
Oversee daily
trade booking ,
settlement ,
collateral management and reconciliation
across long-short equities portfolios in the US, China/HK, SG, and Japan, and daily net liquidity
Liaise directly with
prime brokers
to ensure accurate daily P&L, NAV, Delta and VaR reports and corporate action handling
Monitor
cash and margin movements , manage margin calls, and ensure smooth operational execution of
liquidity swaps and structured trades
with banks
Own daily interaction with
Enfusion
or other OMS/PMS tools for position management, compliance rules, and reconciliation

Regulatory & Risk Oversight
Coordinate with legal, brokers, auditors and regulators on
FEFTA filings ,
ownership thresholds , and other
Japan-specific reporting
requirements
Track
short interest limits ,
margin levels ,
risk exposure , and ensure internal controls are in place
Work with the fund administrator on
monthly NAV reporting , annual audits, and capital statements
Maintain internal documentation, workflows, and audit trails in line with
institutional best practices

Process Control & Continuous Improvement
Implement portfolio management and risk tracking systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Identify and resolve trade breaks, booking errors, and workflow bottlenecks
Work with internal traders and external partners to
implement process improvements
and strengthen operational resilience
Qualifications
5+ years
of experience in
hedge fund operations ,
prime brokerage , or
middle office
roles, ideally with
Asia and US equity markets
exposure
Strong knowledge of
trade lifecycle management ,
swaps ,
margining ,
and regulatory compliance
Working knowledge of
Enfusion
or similar OMS/PMS platforms is
highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to
lead ,
improve ,
and own
operational processes with minimal oversight
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a professional, discreet approach to sensitive information
