We are seeking a skilled and proactive Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure our enterprise-grade database infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Databases, Oracle Middleware, cloud platforms (OCI/AWS), and DevOps tools including Kubernetes.
Experience with Oracle Applications is a key advantage.
The role involves working closely with infrastructure, development, and operations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical database systems supporting business applications.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Databases across development, testing, and production environments.
Manage and support Oracle Middleware components (e.g., WebLogic, SOA Suite, Oracle Fusion Middleware).
Oversee and support Oracle Applications deployments, including patches, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, backup/recovery strategies, and disaster recovery drills.
Optimize database performance through proactive monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
Implement and manage cloud-based database solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and/or AWS.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate database environments into Kubernetes (K8s) workflows for automation and scalability.
Ensure security, compliance, and adherence to organizational policies and standards.
Troubleshoot complex issues across database, middleware, and application layers.
Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in large, complex environments.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 19c (installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery).
Experience with Oracle Middleware (e.g., WebLogic Server, SOA Suite).
Experience working with Oracle Applications (,Fusion Apps, or similar).
Proficiency in deploying and managing databases on OCI and/or AWS.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization for database operations.
Solid understanding of database security, high availability (RAC, Data Guard), and disaster recovery concepts.
Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
