Senior Consultant - Commercial Trading | Energy & Commodities Practice
The trading arm is specializing in the global procurement, trading, and risk management of energy commodities—including crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals, and derivatives—supporting the group's value chain while maximizing profitability and market competitiveness.
Due to business needs, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paper Trader position in Singapore.
Role
Reporting to the Trading Manager, the role focuses on trading petroleum, petrochemical, and energy products in the forward and derivatives markets to manage price risk and generate profit.
It requires analysing market opportunities, executing hedging strategies, managing a trading book, and ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory frameworks.
The position involves coordination with internal units and external stakeholders, developing new trading channels and counterparties, advising on pricing and risk strategies, supporting contract negotiations, mentoring junior team members, reporting to management, and contributing to overall trading strategy and performance.
Requirements
Degree in Economics or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in paper trading, preferably within the Oil & Gas trading sector.
Proven experience in
options trading
and strong understanding of options and derivatives markets.
Solid track record of delivering trading P&L.
Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate across regions, and thrive in fast‐paced international environments.
