Nanyang Technological University, Singapore**Part-Time Lecturer for CS4160 The Korean Wave**We are looking for a part-time lecturer to teach The Korean Wave at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.This course provides an overview and critical analysis of the Korean Wave (known as hallyu), the spread of the global popularity of South Korean pop cultural products, such as K-pop, TV dramas, movies, literature, culinary customs, and more.
Hallyu is not just a Korean but a global phenomenon, as such, the Korean Wave will offer a potentially multidisciplinary engagement in the broader study of Media and Communications.The lecturer should have good industry experience and knowledge of the topics covered in the course.
The course format consists of a total of 52 hours of instruction that includes lectures, discussions, creative assignments, critiques and culture research assignment.
The lecturer will be responsible for syllabus planning, class preparation, setting and marking assessments, as well as student consultation.Requirements:* Master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with relevant industry experience.* Background in communication or a related discipline is preferred.Further information about the University and the School can be viewed at the following websites:NTU
