What you'll be doing
- Preparing a wide range of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods from scratch, using high-quality ingredients
- Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all desserts and baked items
- Collaborating with the head chef to develop new and innovative dessert recipes
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Providing excellent customer service and responding to feedback
What we're looking for
- Formal training or a degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts
- 5+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Expertise in a wide range of baking techniques and the ability to work with various doughs, batters, and pastries
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
