About the Role
This role is responsible for the governance, planning, and execution of IT projects and products within a Financial Services Industry (FSI) environment.
You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project management methodologies and best practices aligned with FSI regulations.
- Oversee the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
- Create and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation plans as necessary.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including project teams, business units, and IT departments.
- Track project progress and report on key metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant FSI regulations and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for project issues and implement corrective actions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Manage project documentation and ensure proper record keeping.
- Support with vendor management for IT projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent experience (highly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the FSI sector.
- Strong understanding of FSI regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
