Key Responsibilities
- Analyse economic developments, labour market shifts, and workforce trends to advise senior leadership on implications for workers.
- Formulate policy recommendations that align with organisational objectives and advocate for stronger worker protection and progression.
- Conduct in-depth policy and data analysis using third-party sources, economic datasets, and ground-level intelligence.
- Develop insights and policy papers to inform internal stakeholders and support advocacy efforts.
- Liaise with government agencies to influence and shape labour-related policymaking.
- Partner with internal business units, unions, and industry representatives to gather ground feedback from unionised and non-unionised sectors.
- Tailor recommendations and support schemes that address diverse worker needs.
- Track macroeconomic outlooks, employment patterns, and sectoral shifts that affect the workforce.
- Produce reports, discussion papers, and presentations for senior management and policy forums.
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, Public Policy, or other related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably with exposure to policy, economics.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- A self-starter with a keen interest in policy analysis, and economic developments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in economic analysis or policy research is advantageous but not essential.
