The Post-Doctoral Fellow (Level A) contributes to UNSW’s research efforts and develops research expertise through defined projects.
Reports to Prof Bing-Jie (Bruce) Ni and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities
Contribute independently or as a team member in collaborative research to enhance the quality of research outcomes in the discipline area.
Conduct research and enable research teams to create scholarly output recognized by peers.
Undertake specific research projects under the guidance of a research leader and contribute to development of research activities.
Support dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
Undertake discipline-appropriate research activities, e.g. surveys, literature reviews, data gathering and recording results using appropriate methods.
Participate in and/or present at conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project as required.
Assist with supervision of research students in the research area where required.
Develop novel tools and techniques to develop smart and sustainable water technologies.
Qualifications
A PhD in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
Proven commitment to staying current with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality academic research with limited supervision and publish results.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and collaborate across disciplines.
Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and students.
Understanding of UNSW’s aims, objectives and values and related policies.
Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to relevant training.
