What Role You Will Play In Our Team
In Asia, our activities include marketing low-carbon technologies and developing cross-border projects.

The Business Development Advisor, based in Singapore, will be part of a global, multi-disciplinary team that leads commercial and business negotiations, leverages strategic thinking, and communicates effectively to deliver value-accretive priorities.

You will be expected to deliver business results, and can expect increasing levels of responsibility over time.

The company provides mentorship, bespoke training and development plans, and the opportunity to build your network within the broader corporation.


What You Will Do
Understand, construct, negotiate, execute and operationalize agreements for the commercialization of new opportunities in Low Carbon Solutions (LCS).


Mature selected opportunities from inception through to investment decision by:
Being a key internal interface to ensure alignment and obtain endorsements as necessary
Working closely with projects, public and government affairs, law, finance, marine, supply chain and operations teams to progress projects as one ExxonMobil
Leveraging insights from these teams to converge on an attractive business case, integrating commercial, regulatory and technical attributes
Interface with LCS customers and stakeholders (government, partners), developing and strengthening relationships and building a diverse network across the value chain
Represent ExxonMobil LCS in trade associations and government engagements, and partner with other departments for attendance and participation at conferences and trade fairs
Provide competitive market insights to support market strategies and analysis.

Identify potentially attractive LCS business opportunities across multiple products and value chains (Carbon Capture and Storage, Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Low Carbon Data Centers)
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Master’s in Business Administration or Masters in Management from a world-class institution
At least 3–5 years of prior experience in one or more of the following: Corporate Finance (Investment Banking, Private Equity), Corporate Development or Business Development (not sales), Strategy, or Engineering/technical
Experience with: creation and navigation of Excel models; creation of detailed presentations for internal management and external partners; exposure to review and markup of legal agreements, including term sheets and long-forms; working with multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams across time zones
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business, finance or climate studies
Deal execution and negotiation experience; financial modelling or business case modelling
Direct experience with oil & gas, power, CCS or hydrogen value chains; international experience with joint ventures and partner frameworks
