Our Construction Managers are on the forefront of creating and delivering the most innovative products to our customers; and are known for changing the face of cloud computing.
As a Pre-Construction Cost Planner, you will be responsible for developing the cost plan from feasibility to early design stage and support preconstruction Managers to establish the accurate budget for upcoming Data Center projects.
You will own the development the Amazon specific rate library, create cost database and benchmarking tool for projects across countries in the Asia Pacific region.
You will be the key person in developing the BIM model estimating system to increase the estimating efficiency and accuracy.
You will lead the effort to reverse-engineer unit prices at both high-level and detailed levels, broken down by trade and major categories, drive the value engineering conversations.
In addition, you will support complex, cross-functional initiatives and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering impactful results.
This will involve close collaboration with Preconstruction Managers, Construction Managers, as well as teams from Real Estate, Design Engineering, Due Diligence, Procurement, and other key partners.
This role demands a proactive leader with exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of construction costs in industry, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A day in the life
You will use data and anecdotes to tactically drive internal customers to manage project risks (time, cost, quality and safety).
You will apply your knowledge and experience to identify and develop dashboard reporting to provide the visibility to peers and the leadership to drive better business outcomes.
You need to have the backbone to use the data to tell the business This is what the data is telling us, and this is how it is done and develop solutions that enable our Construction Managers to enforce the effective project control with their General Contractors and vendors.
You must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise and consistent messages verbally, in written form, and/or public speaking forums.
You must have diplomacy, patience and tact to earn trust in relationships to effectively advise, instruct and challenge internal and external partner teams on strategies and processes.
About the team
You will be integrated with a global network of Construction professionals including Construction Managers, Program Managers, Regional Managers, and Regional Project Engineers in operational teams, as well as the Data Engineers.
Our Data Center Pre-Construction team owns and drives the process for program, cost, constructability, procurement and delivery strategies, bid analysis through to contract award.
