We are looking for a Device / Process Integration Engineer in preparation for the formation of the joint venture between NXP and VIS, known as VSMC.
Job Description
This posting is for a Device/Process Integration engineer in a high-volume, 300mm wafer manufacturing environment.
The role involves product/part ownership from substrate start to wafer test, including sustaining, disposition, troubleshooting, yield enhancement, and New Product Introduction.
Candidates should have a strong technical background in semiconductor device physics and process integration, along with good planning, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Engineering teams to introduce new products into manufacturing efficiently.
- Enhance yield and reduce costs through process improvements, defect reduction, and performance optimization.
- Monitor electrical device operation to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Lead cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and resolve factory issues and customer returns.
- Work with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Process teams to improve overall performance.
- Communicate technical issues clearly and effectively, including presenting to cross-functional audiences.
- Provide quick, innovative solutions to operational challenges to maintain high manufacturing standards.
- Mentor engineers and lead process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical engineering, or related science; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in device or process engineering or similar roles.
- Experience with copper metallization technologies preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOE and SPC; Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
- Experience with Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control.
- Proficient in Excel, JMP, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent data analysis, troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to plan, execute, analyze, and complete projects on schedule.
