To be responsible for the development and measurement of optical communication products in accordance with the mission and the goals of the company.
To identify, develop, implement and eliminate root causes of yield loss across fabrication and assembly processes and have predictive analytic to improve yield.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Yield and Executions
- Design and Develop POET Optical Interposer products for yield and performance.
- Drive yield enhancement and defect elimination on a variety of optical engine designs based on POET's Optical Interposer
- Perform data analysis, problem characterization, and fault isolation to determine the root cause of the problem
- Define problems by identifying failure modes, quantity of material affected, percent fallout, etc
- Responsible for monitoring, improving, recording, organizing, tracking and presenting the process yield data of POET's fab partners
- Implement checklists, guidelines, lesson learnt and history documents to capture and record all yield-improvement activities
- Yield maintenance and yield improvement on multiple products
- Yield analysis to provide yield loss correlation to electrical, optical and physical (placement) parameters
- Analysis of related failure analysis methodologies, such as electrical failure analysis and physical analysis
- Any other engineering related tasks assigned by superior
QUALIFICATION :
Minimum Education :
Bachelor's or master's degree.
Minimum Experience :
Minimum 5 years' reliability engineering & failure analysis experience.
Proven working experience in the optoelectronics manufacturing industry.
Specific Knowledge / Skills :
Understanding of semiconductor physics.
- Strong knowledge of statistical models and data analysis.
- Strong ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize numerous competing demands, and problem solve decisively.
- Ability to critically think and react to a dynamic environment.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to apply knowledge to drive reliability testing.
- Sound mathematics and statistical background.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and thermal failure modes in semiconductor material.
- Strong data analysis skills (e.g. JMP, MATLab, Python, etc.) and very clear communication skills.
