Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and optimize the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods within our food & beverage (F&B) manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely procurement to support production efficiency and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Develop, implement, and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and quality.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews (quality, delivery, compliance).
Cost Management & Budget Control
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks.
- Manage procurement budgets and achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Implement cost analysis and benchmarking for continuous improvement.
Operational Efficiency
Ensure timely availability of raw materials to meet production schedules.
- Work closely with production, R&D, quality assurance, and logistics teams to align supply with demand forecasts.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with operational needs.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure procurement practices comply with food safety, HACCP, ISO, and regulatory standards.
- Develop supplier audits and risk assessments for food safety compliance.
- Implement and monitor sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and KPIs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in F&B manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, supplier auditing, and quality control.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
