Job Description
- Supplier Management: Select, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to build a reliable supply network.
Actively source and develop new suppliers to secure better quality and competitive pricing for fresh products.
- Shelf-Life & Inventory Control: Monitor expiry dates closely, manage near-expiry items to reduce losses, and optimize inventory planning to lower costs and increase turnover efficiency.
- Procurement Planning: Develop purchasing plans based on customer demand and supplier capabilities, adjust product mix seasonally, ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving SKUs, track delivery dates and quality, and manage purchase order creation.
- Category Operations: Oversee product lifecycle management on the online store — including product listing, descriptions, pricing, promotions, reporting, and SKU maintenance.
- Margin & Cost Management: Analyze sales and margins, identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and improve gross profit.
- New Product Sourcing: Research and compare multiple suppliers to introduce new, competitive, and in-demand products that meet customer needs while reducing costs and improving profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in fresh food procurement, with at least 2 years managing a product category independently.
- Strong knowledge of local markets for vegetables, fruits, seafood, meat, dry goods, and beverages, with established supplier resources and diverse procurement channels.
- Proven track record in price negotiation and cost control.
- Excellent supplier management skills with the ability to build and maintain stable partnerships.
- Familiarity with leading e-commerce or fresh food platforms is a strong advantage.
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders
