Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Procurement & Sourcing Specialist to manage both direct (production-related) and indirect (non-production) procurement.
This role is key to ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing, supporting production needs, and improving supplier performance through strategic sourcing and supplier development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source & Manage Suppliers:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers for machine components, materials, tools, and services.
- Support Production Requirements:
Work with engineering and production teams to qualify suppliers and parts that meet technical and quality standards.
- Indirect Procurement:
Handle sourcing for MRO supplies, IT equipment, tools, and facility services, including contract negotiations and service agreements.
- Drive Cost Savings:
Lead cost-down projects through supplier consolidation, global sourcing (e.g., China, India), and re-sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor Supplier Performance:
Track key metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, cost) and drive improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Compliance & System Accuracy:
Follow company procurement policies, maintain accurate supplier data in ERP (e.g., Microsoft D365), and support ISO compliance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with teams in Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, and Admin to meet sourcing and operational goals.
Requirements:
- Education:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
Experience:
3–5 years in procurement within a manufacturing environment (machine tool industry is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with both direct and indirect sourcing.
- Familiar with technical drawings and engineering specifications (preferred).
- ERP system knowledge (Microsoft D365 or SAP preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
- Able to manage multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with cross-functional coordination experience.
Added Advantage:
Experience in sourcing from China, India, or Southeast Asia.
- Exposure to procurement transformation or centralization projects.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and import/export procedures.
