We looking for a creative and technically-minded Product Designer to conceptualize, prototype, and develop new bottle-related products, accessories, and packaging systems that enhance the Owala experience across Asia.
You will work at the intersection of industrial design, materials engineering, and consumer experience dfrom re-imagining how users carry, clean, and personalize their bottles, to designing new forms and mechanisms that extend into hydration, lifestyle, and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Product & Accessory Design
- Design new bottles, lids, and accessories (e.g., silicone boots, clips, holders, straw systems, cleaning tools, modular attachments).
- Create digital 3D models, sketches, and prototypes ready for manufacturing discussions.
- Explore new ergonomic, aesthetic, and functional possibilities within the Owala / Unbottled ecosystem.
- Develop color, material, and finish (CMF) directions aligned with brand identity.
2.
Prototyping & Development
- Collaborate with manufacturers and mold suppliers to validate feasibility, cost, and material choices (e.g., stainless steel, Tritan, food-grade silicone).
- Produce technical drawings and tolerance specs for mass production.
- Participate in iterative testing for durability, usability, and thermal performance.
3.
Brand Integration & User Experience
- Translate the design language into every product b 00 : minimalist, experiential, and emotionally resonant.
- Conduct user feedback sessions and usability testing to inform design iterations.
- Work closely with marketing and retail teams to ensure design coherence across packaging, retail displays, and digital experiences.
4.
Sustainability & Innovation
- Research emerging eco-materials and circular design practices (e.g., recycled steel, bioplastics).
- Propose new modular systems that allow product longevity, repair, or customization.
- Contribute ideas for new product categories beyond bottles (e.g., tumblers, lifestyle hydration tools).
- Experience designing for retail or DTC brands with strong visual storytelling.
- Interest in fitness, wellness, or sustainable lifestyle products .
- Hands-on approachomfortable iterating prototypes, 3D printing, or testing materials.
- Familiar with Asia-based manufacturing workflows and supplier communication.
- Strong eye for color, finish, and tactile experience
