PURPOSE OF JOB:
To develop, manage, and support T&J's range of wiring accessories and control systems, including sockets, switches, room control units, and thermostats.
The role provides technical expertise and product management support to internal teams and customers, ensuring products meet market requirements, quality standards, and performance expectations.
Works independently with limited supervision.
MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Product Management & Technical Support
· Provide technical and product management support to Sales and Marketing teams in project pursuits and product selection.
· Support Customer Service in handling technical enquiries to ensure prompt and accurate responses.
· Prepare and maintain product documentation such as catalogues, data sheets, technical memos, and test certifications.
· Ensure product test reports and certificates are valid and properly filed.
· Conduct internal and external product training sessions when required.
· Assist in annual warehouse stock-take activities.
2.
Product Development & Engineering Solutions
· Develop and improve system solutions (hardware, firmware, and software) relevant to current market needs, including RCU and thermostat systems.
· Build demo kits or mock-up units to showcase system capabilities to customers and partners.
· Coordinate with factories and suppliers on new product development and technical improvements.
· Perform product failure analysis, generate fault reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
· Conduct product verification, burn-in, and accelerated life tests to ensure reliability and compliance.
· Support sales teams (including joint ventures) with engineering drawings, configurations, and technical proposals.
· Contribute to continuous product improvement and innovation initiatives.
3.
IT & System Support
Provide internal IT support related to Email, WFH laptops, VPN, VNC, and File Servers.
