Role : As the DFIQ – Data Product Assistant Manager, you will bridge business needs and technology solutions for the Vendor Portal project, focusing on data sharing with vendors.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop data solutions, define business requirements, work with data engineering teams, test the product, and provide UI/UX inputs to enable successful data-sharing capabilities within the Vendor Portal.
This role operates in a complex matrix organization.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to identify data-sharing opportunities, develop and document BRDs and PRDs to define data-sharing solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives and vendor needs.
- Create and maintain documentation (PRDs, user stories, data models, report specifications, process flows) to guide monetized data products.
- Review and validate technical specifications to ensure they meet business requirements and support data integration with the data lake.
- Work with internal data engineering teams to facilitate data sourcing, ensuring data availability, quality, and security for vendor sharing.
- Conduct testing to ensure data-sharing features meet quality standards, are user-friendly, and fulfill business and vendor requirements.
- Plan and execute data migration strategies for data insights and B2B ERP functionalities, including mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data integrity.
- Provide UI/UX inputs for the Vendor Portal, ensuring intuitive interfaces for dashboards, report visualizations, and data access controls tailored to vendor needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.
- 4+ years of product experience, data consulting, business analysis, data analysis, or similar roles with a focus on data-sharing solutions, analytics, or reporting in a retail or ecommerce context.
- Proven success in defining and launching data-driven products (e.g., reports or analytics) for external stakeholders such as suppliers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; ability to analyze complex business processes and technical requirements.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys, focus groups) and in creating clear documentation (BRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows).
- Ability to navigate a complex matrix organization with multiple reporting lines and cross-functional teams.
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis, mapping, and validation during migration and reporting.
- Excellent spoken and written English and/or Chinese.
- Consulting experience in a professional services environment is highly preferred.
