The Project Director at DB&B is a strategic and inspiring leader, responsible for overseeing multiple design projects across different sites while managing and mentoring a team of designers to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.
This role requires a blend of creative expertise, leadership, and operational oversight to ensure projects meet client expectations, align with the Company's vision, and are delivered efficiently across all sites.
The Project Director will actively engage in project pitching, present design concepts to clients, build strong relationships, and drive business growth through excellence in design and execution.
Responsibilities:
Project & Design Leadership
- Oversee and coordinate multiple projects across various sites, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with client and Company objectives.
- Streamline daily operations of the design studio and project teams, optimizing resources, schedules, and workflows to ensure efficiency and collaboration.
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with client needs and Company goals, driving innovation and business success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the design team, maintaining high standards of creative output and professional development.
- Identify opportunities to leverage design as a strategic asset to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure all projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while continuously improving processes and outputs.
- Champion design excellence across projects, motivating teams to exceed expectations and deliver client-focused solutions.
Project Pitching & Business Development
- Participate in project pitches and ongoing client engagement to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the business development team to articulate the value of workplace strategy in securing new opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance DB&B's offerings and competitive positioning.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in interior design, with significant experience managing multiple large-scale projects and sites.
- Recognized qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Leadership or project management certifications are advantageous.
- Proven expertise in space planning, conceptual design, presentation, and design strategy across multiple projects.
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills, with experience in guiding teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Excellent client engagement, communication, and project pitching skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, workplace innovations, materials, and technologies.
