Job Summary
The Project Engineer – Automation is fully responsible for managing all automation projects from contract signature through to successful go-live at the customer site.
This role includes overseeing both hardware and software solutions, ensuring all project requirements are met with high quality, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of automation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned, maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to business needs.
- Oversee end-to-end warehouse engineering projects, covering both hardware and software implementations.
- Conduct functional analysis and determine software requirements in collaboration with the factory and customers.
- Plan project scope, budget, timeline, internal resource allocation, and subcontracting as needed.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, proactively addressing any issues or delays.
- Supervise hardware installation and software deployment—including testing and commissioning—through to project go-live.
- Prepare and present weekly progress reports for both the internal project team and customers.
- Coordinate supply chain and logistics to ensure timely delivery of all necessary materials for project execution.
- Provide training to customers on newly installed systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably with exposure to complex industrial projects (such as Industrial Robotics, Automotive, or Aeronautics).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical challenges and solve complex problems.
- Willingness and ability to work in the field; rigorous, organized, and able to work independently.
- Proven capability to facilitate and drive cross-department collaboration and communication.
- Eagerness to learn and keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel outside Singapore when required.
- Willing to work at Loyang Way area.
