Project Engineer x 3 positions ($4500 - $6000) at Tuas
Job Responsibilities :
- Follow up with site walk and client enquiry for the new job or project and work together with project manager or department manager for the quotation and tender submission
- Coordinating with engineering, construction and liaise with clients on detailed engineering requirements
- Prepare quotation, budget plan and submission for project manager approval
- Prepare method of statement, lifting plan and work schedule to provide safety personnel for risk assessment
- Prepare MTO & raise MR for all materials required for the projects
- Lead equipment and structure installation, piping erections and pipe support installation to align with schedule, procedures, specifications, priorities and availability of construction drawings
- Manage all technical queries and work related investigations
- Review of project specifications, ISO drawings and P & ID
- Responsible for counter checking with ISO drawings, P&ID, and GA drawings for correct location, orientation and alignment plus plumpness
- Carry out mechanical clearance, conduct hydro and pneumatic tests, fulfill commissioning and pre-commissioning requirements of the projects
- Address corrective and preventive action on quality matters, on site safety and health conditions
- Ensuring ISO documents and QHSE documents to have the 50K above project
- Attend all meetings on site where required and report daily activities to Project or Department Manage
Job Requirements :
- Diploma or degree in piping or mechanical engineering.
- Strong experience in site project management, including conducting site walks and handling client inquiries for new projects.
- Proven ability to coordinate with engineering, construction, and client teams, managing detailed technical requirements.
- Skilled in preparing quotations, budget plans, method statements, lifting plans, and work schedules for risk assessment and project manager approval.
- Capable of preparing material take-off (MTO) and raising material requisitions (MR) for project needs.
- Experience leading equipment and structure installation, piping erections, and pipe support installation according to schedules, specifications, and priorities.
- Proficient in managing technical queries, investigations, and reviewing project specifications, ISO drawings, and P&ID documents.
- Attention to detail in counter-checking drawings for correct location, orientation, alignment, and plumbness.
- Hands-on with mechanical clearance, hydro/pneumatic tests, and commissioning/pre-commissioning activities.
- Committed to quality, safety, and health standards on site, addressing corrective/preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with ISO and QHSE documents for projects exceeding 50K.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills; able to attend all required meetings and provide daily updates to project/department managers.
