Your role and responsibilities
As an OT Network and Cyber Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on medium-to-large automation projects, from functional design specifications, detailed engineering documentation to implementation and testing.
You will design and deploy solutions for ABB’s fleet of control systems in the energy Industries, providing both onsite and offsite support for the installed base.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid
- Develop system architecture, IP address plans and maintain throughout the project lifecycle, and deploy cybersecurity controls aligned with IEC62443 and NIST standards.
- Design and deploy cyber security controls for ABB’s fleet of 800xA and Symphony Plus systems.
- Configure and deploy network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) and conduct factory/site acceptance tests with customers.
- Ensure adherence to safety, cybersecurity regulations, and contractual requirements; perform engineering risk analysis for projects.
- Provide technical support to project and service teams for security implementation and troubleshooting during commissioning and start-up.
- Willingness to travel 60% of the time to local and international sites.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Cyber Security or a related discipline.
- Experience in deploying Belden and Cisco networking solutions for OT systems.
- Networking and Cyber security certifications are preferred but not essential.
- Familiar with OT security standards IEC62443 and NIST.
- Experience in OT system network segmentation, hardening, patching and backup recovery.
- Experience in designing and deploying networking solutions for OT systems.
- Experience with ABB’s 800xA and Symphony Plus control systems is preferred but not essential.
