Position Summary:
The Project Engineer (FPSO) will be responsible for supporting the execution of FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) projects at the construction site in Nantong, China .
The role involves coordinating between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Candidates with a Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering background are preferred due to the strong interface with hull, marine, and topside integration works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day project execution at the Nantong yard, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines to ensure seamless integration of FPSO modules and systems.
- Monitor fabrication, integration, and installation activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Review engineering deliverables, construction drawings, and technical documents to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage interface issues between hull, topsides, and marine systems; follow up with relevant engineering teams to close out actions.
- Track project progress, report key milestones, and support schedule and cost control initiatives.
- Facilitate technical clarifications, change management, and issue resolution between the site and home office teams.
- Participate in project meetings, inspections, and client interface activities.
- Ensure smooth communication flow between the site, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning preparation as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture , Marine Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in FPSO or offshore oil & gas projects.
- Prior exposure to hull, marine systems, or topsides integration is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project execution processes, including design, fabrication, and construction.
- Good coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent in English (Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage for communication with local yards).
- Willingness to be stationed in Nantong, China for a minimum of 2 years .
