About the Role
Project Manager
with geotechnical expertise and experience managing in
Geotechnical projects .
This role combines
project execution
with
bid, tender, business development
responsibilities.
You will oversee the full lifecycle of complex construction projects—including geotechnical, tender submission, and site execution—while collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Project & Construction Management
Lead end-to-end delivery of geotechnical-intensive industrial projects (e.g., shipyards, marine facilities, heavy foundation works)
Manage both
main contractor activities
and
specialist subcontractors
(e.g., piling, ERSS, ground improvement)
Supervise project scheduling, budgeting, and progress reporting
Ensure construction quality and compliance with BCA, SS CP4, and relevant codes
Drive construction sequencing and logistics planning for constrained or waterfront sites
2.
Geotechnical
Design foundation systems: bored piles, mat foundations, load-bearing raft systems
Develop earth retaining and stabilizing structures (ERSS) for deep excavations
Design and oversee implementation of ground improvement methods (e.g., DCM, jet grouting, preloading)
Conduct settlement and consolidation analysis, especially for marine clay and Kallang Formation
Plan and implement dewatering systems for high water table environments
3.
Bid & Tender / Business Development
Support pre-contract activities including:
Tender proposal preparation
Methodology development and construction approach planning
Preliminary geotechnical design for pricing and feasibility
Participate in business development discussions and client engagement
Liaise with internal estimating, planning, and BD teams to prepare competitive and technically sound bids
4.
Technical Coordination
Collaborate with Professional Engineers (PE) and technical consultants
Optimize geotechnical designs for constructability and cost efficiency
Apply value engineering principles during design and construction
Identify and mitigate construction and geotechnical risks early in the process
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s a plus)
Minimum 5 years of experience
in geotechnical design and construction management
Proven experience in:
Foundation and ERSS design
Ground improvement techniques
