Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst – Tax Regulatory Projects, Wealth Management context
Responsibilities:
As a
Senior Project Manager ,
Business Analyst
his/her responsibilities are:
Ensures end-to-end responsibility as global delivery lead for achieving the program / project objectives in accordance with commitments made by the business line.
Facilitate committees and work closely with the project team to deliver the project deliverables, prioritization, estimations, and planning.
Prepares, consolidates, and validates estimates and schedules throughout the project.
Maintain project cost without any major drift in overall project costing till end of project.
Challenge user needs and provide best optimum solution within budget and capacity.
Planning of resourcing and capacity based on project needs.
Creates partnership with product owners, stakeholders, and transversal teams (security, solution architects, compliance)
Assist the project team in gathering the high-level business requirements from the end users and manage GFS
Perform analysis with squad BA and with other applications squads/teams when involved in multi-systems features and interfaces.
Work with the BA and testing team to review global strategy, test cases and results to ensure quality of delivery.
Support UAT with users and BAs (reproduce issues, monitoring, fixing with the team).
Vendor management along with tracking maintenance costs, budgets, and offers.
Ensure coherent of the tasks and commitment based on release and functionality of overall product.
Recognizes typical as well as complex and unusual issues, and actions needed to advance the decision-making process.
Recommends possible solutions.
Assists stakeholders in diagnosing problems and recognizing issues.
Takes time to help them identify critical connections, consequences, and alternatives.
Recognizes successful adaptations.
Contributes & ensures compliance to organization governance, Secure Agile or SDLC frameworks.
Provide regular update/ reporting to Division Manager/Domain Head.
Manage the release planning and management of the deliveries and update necessary tools required.
Ensure transparency and adapts plans when changes occur.
Prioritizes tasks based on importance.
Manage Global Program / Project Steering committee with senior management.
Able to multi-task and work on multiple projects if required.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or finance
PMP Certified (preferred)
Experience in working with large, distributed IT teams.
At least 12+ years of experience in the banking IT field (Wealth Management/Private Banking) as a Project Manager with Business analysis background
Project Management & Functional Skills
Good Knowledge of Regulatory
or
Tax Reporting with experience on any of the given topics: Tax Regulatory, Performance topics, German Tax reporting, Client Tax Statement Reporting, AEOI/CRS, FATCA, IRS871m
Knowledge of Transactions (Corporate Actions, Securities in particular)
Good Knowledge on Market data providers (i.e., SIX, WmDaten and similar providers)
Good Knowledge on Reporting systems (i.e., SECTRAS, EasyTax, FiTax or similar applications)
Basic Knowledge on Standard Core Banking systems (i.e., Olympic, TRANSACT, Corporate Actions Systems)
Basic Knowledge on Front Office applications (i.e., AAA ordering Tools, Client Management Tools)
Excellent communication skills, able to spearhead Steering Committees and engage with end users and stakeholders at various levels.
Excellent knowledge on program management, project planning, budgeting/estimations and conducting negotiations / arbitrations.
Good understanding of project lifecycle and experience in functional and technical specification
Highly analytical, able to investigate, troubleshoot and determine issues at root cause.
Adaptability & Flexibility to work on multiple tasks.
Ability to collaborate / teamwork.

IT experience: general knowledge (SQL, PL/SQL, IT Architecture principles, IT security concepts)
Organization and management of tests (SIT / Non-regression, UAT)

Exposure to applications revolving around: AAA, Olympic, TRANSACT, Client Management Systems, Datawarehouse, Batch processing of reports
