Job Description
The Project Manager takes ownership for planning, delivering and achieving the objectives of complex or medium-to-large-scale projects.
Project Manager defines the project management plan to manage the project progress, resource, cost; and facilitates interaction and tasks of various stakeholders to reduce the risks of overall failure.
Project Manager applies knowledge and skills aligned with the industry’s project management best practices and methodologies.
As such, Project Manager needs to have good understandings of the different phases from Initiating to Closing and be able to proficiently execute and adhere to the organisation’s project management processes.
Roles And Responsibilities
Accountable for the start-to-finish delivery of complex, high-value or strategic projects with high quality, within budget and according to agreed schedule and users’ requirementsFront clients, provide status updates and ensure customer satisfaction is achievedManage relationships and align with diverse teams of internal/external stakeholdersActively plan, manage and report project scope, schedules, cost and resourcesMonitor resource utilization to facilitate planning & scheduling of resourcesIdentify, assess and manage the risks/issues of the project, and take appropriate prevention action or resolutionManage escalations and project scope creep or mitigates it when it occurs, or changes in users’ requirements according to Change Control processes, schedule slippage, technical problems and shortages of resourcesWork closely with business/product managers and support teams to ensure end objectives are metWillingness to take on additional functions, such as, involve in project (PMO) governance and process, mentor junior or new team members, participate in presales activities, corporate initiatives, etc.Qualifications
Accredited University Degree in Project Management, IT or related disciplines.
Relevant experience without the required educational portfolio will also be consideredMust possess Project Management Certification, e.g. CITPM, PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM/AGPM, etc.Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably in medium-to-large scale ICT projects in various industries, including Government, Education, Health, FSI, Hospitality/MICE or Commercials, etc.Experience in working in large matrix organization or MNCKnowledge of PMO or understand (and be able to apply) project management governance and processAbility to demonstrate experience in managing diverse groups of stakeholders & clientsExcellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and communication skills including ability to influence and communicate to all levels of stakeholdersAble to multi-task and is result-oriented, with energy and able to deliver in a very fast-paced environmentLogical and analytic approach in handling situations, problems or issues *We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
