About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager with a strong background in 22kV and 66kV power systems to manage and deliver electrical projects in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
The role involves coordinating all aspects of project execution—from planning and procurement to installation, testing, and commissioning—without a primary focus on infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects involving 22kV and 66kV electrical systems from initiation to handover.
- Oversee procurement, scheduling, technical reviews, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) systems.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of project tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve technical documents such as drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Plan and manage resources (manpower, materials, equipment) to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely project reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Lead testing and commissioning of HV systems, including switchgear, transformers, cables, and protection systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of Project Manager experiences
At least 3 years of hands-on experience of managing projects with 22kV and/or 66kV systems (e.g., switchgear installations, cable laying, protection testing).
Solid understanding of high-voltage electrical systems, design, operation, and protection.
- Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and local electrical codes.
- Excellent project planning and execution skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge in electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
