Job Description – Project Manager
Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of assigned projects, covering contractual, commercial, and technical aspects.
This position plays a key role in ensuring that all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.
The Project Manager works closely with the Sales, Engineering, Production, and Service teams to achieve project objectives and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of the project to ensure timely completion and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Manage risks and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth workflow and alignment of schedules.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams — including Design, Production, Accounts, and Installation — to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients and stakeholders; record, distribute, and follow up on meeting minutes and agreed actions.
- Maintain active and prompt communication with clients, team members, and management.
The Project Manager is expected to respond to calls and messages promptly, especially during critical project stages.
Technical and Field Support
- Provide strong technical guidance to the project and service teams, ensuring engineering standards, specifications, and quality requirements are met.
- Attend site meetings, supervise on-site work, and perform inspections when required.
- Oversee system installation, testing, and commissioning with sub-contractors.
- Conduct customer handovers and training after project completion.
Commercial and Documentation
- Prepare and submit progress claims and variation orders to clients accurately and on time.
- Verify sub-contractor claims and ensure proper documentation for project accounts.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department for billing, payment responses, and reporting.
- Maintain systematic and up-to-date project documentation, correspondences, and drawings.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial system projects.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and specifications.
- Highly responsive and proactive, able to respond promptly to client and internal communications (calls, messages, and emails).
- Must own a personal vehicle and be willing to travel to project sites as required.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and customer management skills.
