Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to assist the Project Director in overseeing various project functions including project management, site supervision, and risk control.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Deputy Director with overall project management, site supervision, risk control, and resource coordination to achieve project objectives.Support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple infrastructure or utility projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.Prepare master construction programs, catch-up schedules, project timelines, work schedules, budgets, and manpower plans.
Monitor progress against key milestones and adjust plans as needed.Monitor daily project operations to ensure work progress complies with approved plans, schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards.Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to track construction progress, enforce safety protocols, and maintain quality control.Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and statutory bodies (e.g., LTA, SP Group) to secure necessary approvals, permits, and utility clearances.Implement robust cost control measures to optimize resource utilization and maintain project budgets and schedules.Track and manage project risks, variations, technical queries (TQs), and change requests, providing timely updates to senior leadership.Support procurement efforts by coordinating material and equipment requisitions and ensuring timely delivery to site.Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, drawings, progress photos, minutes of meetings, and compliance records.Evaluate subcontractor performance and manage site workforce productivity, discipline, and safety compliance.Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, potential issues, and mitigation plans.Take initiative to identify and resolve site issues, propose solutions, and escalate critical concerns as necessary.Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.Stay informed of relevant regulatory requirements and ensure full compliance throughout project execution.Qualifications
A recognized Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction project management.Hands-on experience in underground utility works involving cable, water, or gas pipelines is highly advantageous.Strong project coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Highly self-motivated, independent, and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Passionate about delivering results with a keen eye for detail and quality.Possession of a valid Class 2 or 3 driving license is an advantage (to support site mobility).
