What you will do
Generate and submit system design documents, MOS, test plans and procedures according to the requirements of the allocated railway line.
Coordinate and apply for enabling of site-based migrations and implementations.
Conduct assembly and configuration of rack-based and field end set up/equipment.
Lead and implement site-based migration of allocated system.
Perform and execute the test and commissioning tasks according to the test plan and test procedures.
Troubleshoot and fault find electronic equipment faults, wiring errors and crimping errors.
Test and commission according to the test plan and test procedures, record the test results, analyze the test log, summarize on the test report, describe any test problems, communicate with the system engineer and close the list of outstanding issues.
Conduct first level fault find electronic systems and report back results and any systemic issues.
Interface with other parts of the Siemens Mobility organization to improve design and tools to keep the overall system efficient and economical.
Identify and report any defects or variations from the specification.
Report completion of testing activities in line with the planned timeline and procedure.
Ensure “Best Practice” is adopted and that quality of workmanship is always maintained to the highest possible standards.
Liaise with the Manager on all site-related activities.
Provide weekly and ad-hoc progress reports to the Manager.
What you need to make real what matters
Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering.
Experience in software and electronic tools; prior railway experience preferred.
Hands‐on experience on assembly and test tools (soldering, crimping tools, multimeters, oscilloscope).
Experience in railway communications will be an added advantage, focusing on network switches, satellite clock system and FIS.
Willingly to work at Night/Engineering Hours (when the railway shuts down for maintenance work).
Positive attitude and willing learner, good problem solving skill and analytical thinking.
Team player who is analytical, highly motivated and independent with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills.
Experience in the construction of MRT projects will be an advantage.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
