Job Description & Requirements
To lead and manage the tender team for all tender and related activities (including turnkey EPC tenders with Civil, Mech, E&I scopes), allocating tasks and following up to ensure the tender is submitted in proper order.
Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents and other related documents to find relevant information necessary for the tender, ensuring all tender submission documents are in order and submitted as required.
- Conduct material take-off and estimate costs for tender related to the Mechanical work scope (Piping, tank, equipment, firefighting, etc.) and source suppliers/subcontractors.
- Collaborate with other departments including BD, engineering, procurement, and project on tender estimation and submission.
- Report to or work with the Senior Technical Manager and/or BD Manager, and carry out any other required tasks.
- Support tender activities when required, including all related documentation works (e.g., prequalification documents, tender result follow-up/review, etc.).
- Review tender commercial matters and liaise with commercial personnel as needed.
- Assist other departments (including Civil, E&I, etc.) in the tender department for various tasks, including documentation.
- Support BD activities as required, especially in connection with tender works, including follow-up with clients on submitted tenders, calling clients, and attending meetings.
- Provide support to other departments or personnel (e.g., QS, project, engineering, finance) on matters relating to tender-related issues and price estimation.
- Perform any other tender-related tasks including pricing strategy, pre-tender review, pre-award contract review, and handover of awarded projects to the project team.
- Complete any other tasks as instructed by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Any engineering/project/construction knowledge and/or experience will be an added advantage.
- Able to interpret drawings.
- Knowledge of recent prices in relevant EPC/Construction works, and accuracy in cost estimation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD viewing, and Adobe.
- Knowledge of MS Project/Primavera will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Bilingual; able to read, write, and speak Chinese is an added advantage.
