Job Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant combines expertise in procurement and marketing to support the acquisition of goods and services while aligning purchasing strategies with marketing initiatives.
This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, analysing market trends, and ensuring that marketing materials and promotional products meet the company's standards and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of procurement and marketing skills, with a strong focus on driving value and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and issue resolution.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for marketing-related goods and services.
- Assist in creating and managing budgets for marketing procurement.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and trends in marketing materials.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure the reliability and consistency of marketing materials.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in purchasing and marketing procurement.
Requirements:
- Minimum Local Diploma in any field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Adaptable and capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
