Purchasing Assistant - NB (ID: 7767) Industry Repair & Maintenance Services Specialization All Accounting/Finance Position Level Senior Working Hours Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm Responsibilities We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement operations.
* Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
* Prepare and issue purchase orders based on project needs and inventory levels.
* Monitor order statuses and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
* Coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
* Support the procurement team in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers.
Requirements * Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is an advantage.
