Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data and demand forecasts.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
- Track order status and expedite or defer deliveries as needed to align with production requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to resolve procurement issues.
- Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying sourcing opportunities and negotiating with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing related certification is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel is a bonus
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace working environment independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
- Contract position could be extended or converted to full-time position subject to strategic business development and planning
