About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced E&I Inspector / ATEX Inspector to join our inspection and commissioning team for oil & gas, LNG, and marine projects.
The ideal candidate must possess hands-on expertise in electrical and instrumentation equipment inspection, ATEX compliance, and commissioning activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection and verification of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) installations, equipment, and systems as per project and client specifications.
- Conduct ATEX inspections for hazardous area equipment to ensure compliance with relevant standards and certifications.
- Review and verify loop checks, calibration certificates, inspection reports, and FAT/SAT documentation.
- Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure all inspection activities are in accordance with IECEx / ATEX standards, and client quality plans.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, NCRs, and final dossiers.
- Liaise with project engineers, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of inspection activities.
- Identify and report non-conformities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-year Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in E&I inspection and commissioning within the oil & gas or marine industry.
- Strong working knowledge of ATEX / IECEx standards and hazardous area classification.
- Proven experience in instrument inspection, calibration, testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Certification in CompEx / ATEX Inspection (preferred).
