Job Description
Responsibilities:
Liaise with HQ Contracts & Solutions teams to develop strategies and processes to mitigate riskInvolved in tender and pre-contract process, contract administration and claimsLiaise with consultants to establish client requirements and prepare tender submissionsEvaluate and review tender drawings for discrepancies and quantity take-offs, prepare bills of quantities, source and select sub-contractorsCompile and evaluate quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers according to tender requirementsAllocate work to sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring prompt and quality delivery according to contractual obligationsAnalyse, track and monitor expenses and project costs to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and successful project deliveryManage and evaluate variation request order, assess and obtain approval for associated variation costsNegotiate with clients and resolve contract issues and disputes.
Advise and resolve contract disputes and claims, and monitor progress of claim and paymentMonitor progress claims and validate sub-contractor and supplier warrantiesReview and verify architecture, civil, and structural work to ensure compliance with local construction regulationsWork closely with Project Manager to manage project budgets, cost comparisons, variation orders, and purchase ordersEstablish relationships with consultants, sub-contractors and other parties involved in project delivery Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building/Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in project tender and claims, primarily in M&E.Experience in Microsoft Office i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointKnowledge in project management tools, solutions, and techniques are highly desirableSafety Awareness is required at all timesFamiliar with Authority Requirement and Code of Practice is preferredMust have good interpersonal, communication and people management skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlinesAble to commit to long working hours & responsive to client’s urgent request
